_Hello my children once again. Coming back to me for a new story I see. Yes well let me see what I can find on my old shelf here. Getting old is not what it used to be…Hmm…Yes here we are. The story of elves, humans, dragons, and more importly of all the Hollowed who this story is mostly fouced on. But be avised reader. Some things that you will be reading my make you question the reason of being.
_Chapter  1: Olivia Frostfang the Hollowed.

_In the cold castle side of the northern lands of the creatures cursed by the damned but not dead them self's. They are called the undead, the sick of mind. Magi who have lost the will to keep going and gave up. They are known as the Hollowed. People who use a magic that no other kind can. They are rare to break and even rarer to see causing problems. Mostly this is because of the simple fact the Hollowed are so powerful they just enjoy the world around them.
_People who see the Hollowed normally shun them or just keep them away. This is because of how they look. The Hollowed can be any race and any shape that can use Magic. But the price is their eyes glow a frozen blue and their bodies all look as if they lost their humanity casing their skin to sink into their bones leaving long shadows and even odder markings on their skin. Their always happy, some maybe less so but none of them have truly been unhappy. The only one who is unhappy is the leader. But this was meant to be. According to bylaws, the rule bares the weight and responsibility of  all his men, women, and children who give him the ability to rule over them. Without the word of the people the ruler cannot make true shot decision but has to out of the best wishes for his people. And thus our story starts with a young Cursed Human, as the cursed humans are Humans who are forced to look like wolfs on hinge-jointed legs much like werewolf's but unable to revert back to human form. Hollowed however have a very powerful natural ability. They can turn into any race they want just by thought. But what they look like varies. It all depends on what their true self looks like.
_The cold streets of the Northern capital city of Novia where the Hollowed have thrived for many a generations and so on, a young child who was left to fend for her brother looks despertly for food so they may not starve. Her name: Olivia Frostfang. One of the rare cases in which a Hollowed, was born into a non-Hollowed family. She moved to the north in hopes to bring her brother a way to live. But he stayed back at their familys home in the human city of Cowmic. Every day and night Olivia strived to work her hardest and make her self known. It was only with the help of a Hollowed Frost Brood Dragon she was able to stay alive as long as she had. He was called Xeon Savagetongue. Having lived up to his name he was Vanquisher, the strongest kind of Dragon in the Brood of Frost or Blood. He was letting her sleep in his cave while she lived in the North. But what she did not expect was the fact Xeon was the direct and only son of the Frost-Brood Mother. And thus we start here…
_One morning as the son was reaching into the cave Olivia awoke to find her self alone on the massive beding that was used for Xeon. It was not a uncommon sight as Xeon was a Vanquisher and had to do his duty to protect the Southern gate from intruders. However he was gone for more then his normal time and was about do to come and see her. Getting up she started cleaning her mess as well as some of his. He was a Dragon, but clean was not completely his thing. "Where does he ever find half this stuff?" She asked her self as she picked up a old book that seemed to be growing its own cover at this point.
_As she got her self set she found herself looking at the front of the cave where a massive dragon who stood at least twenty foot tall from the arch in his back to the ground with icy blue eyes looking back at her. He slowly walked in and layed down and looked at her. "So? Going to see the king are we? Well I suppose it's a good thing you did those boundies for the humans. Other wise you would be standing before him with those old rangs." He said looking at her.
_Olivia looked at her cloths with a heavy sigh. Her cloths where just pants and a smiple pull down shirt. They had been through more fights then she could count and yet, she could care less. "This coming from the Dragon who is the son of the regions Brood Mother and has a cave full of junk."
_ "Junk?" He said as he looked around. "This is not junk. Its collective moments I want to keep for ever. Or as long as I can." He said with a slight chuckl.
_Walking to the bed Olivia just sighed. "I don't know. Something seems wrong with the old man. He never once in his life asked someone like me or the like to see him." Walking to her little dresser she had Olivia pulled out the simple silk gown she was to ware before the king. "And me in something like this? I don't know if I can. After all we know what marks I have below the coller bone." She said looking at him.
_Reaching out Xeon picked her up and pulled her close to him. "Hear me out okay. Your you. That's all you need to be before him. Besides, whites the worst he says? You're a hair short a full mane?" Xeon said as he sat her down. "Now get dressed we have to present you soon."
_With a sigh she got up and slowly walked to her little dressing area. It was walled off from him a little. If he wanted he could have easily just take his head upand look over the wall but out of respect he did not. "Well what should I when I meet him? I mean I am not like all of you. I was born dirty as they put it. My parents where both normal of their race." She said as she tossed over her pants and shirt. A moment later she walked out in a silk dress with a underling lining to keep her warm. It rested on her coat, because she was a cursed human and had fur on her body. The chest part of the dress was V neck and had a gap on the back so her mane did not get caught. Around the rim of the sleves, collar, and bottom of the dress.
_ "You look nice." Xeon said as he adjusted his head to look at her. "Are you about ready? I am going to stay here and rest myself for a bit."
_ "Right, well stay here and let me walk about two miles to a castle." Olivia said with a sigh. Grunting she started walking from the cave. It was close to the Frost Brood's main home. It was a Secret place hidden to all but a fue. And of those it was only known by the Ruler and his closet cadent. Still stood out side waiting. After a moment Xeon walked out side and picked her on with one claw. Together they went to the Capital. "Thank you." She said loud so he could hear her. But she knew he could not hear her voice when he was flying.
_It took the better part of an hour but they made it in an orderly way. Of course the lower part of the Keep in the Capital was big enough to house a fully grown Vanquisher when they did come since they were the most powerful guards of the Northern region or the Southern shore but it was only during the fast on coming Festival of Fire. But Blood Brood Mother Eturna had invited her personally to this year's Festival. Something that was rare for a commoner to get a personal invitation. Still she was greeted by the front guard. A Defender Frost Brood who looked up at Xeon, since Defenders where smaller in size and higth to a Vanquisher. Bowing back she said. "I am here on request of the King himself. I am-"
_ "Olivia Frostfang, born through mudded means in the Human realm, to the south and west. You were summoned on the behalf of the Ruler: Wielgtor Holson Darkskin." He said as he walked with her inside. For some reason all the Defenders and the normal guards, who where made up of all of the races but dark elves, where in black atired armor. Even she could feel the dark presence of death himself in the air.
_ "Your lucky ma'am. Not many people are about to receive what you are." He said as they made there way up the main hall to the stairs.
_ "Excuse me?" Olivia asked as she walked in toe. Looking at the walls she paintings of every known Wielgtor or ruler as it was said in the common tongue, was there as well as their families and so on. "What do you mean I am lucky? And receive what?"
_Coming to the door that was what might have been seen as overly pertected the guards men said. "Well I won't say much but what I can say is this. Your Lucky but at the same time cursed. Not lightly is it given out and again not to kindly is it liked." He said as he waved apart the two guards. Xeon having to stay down in the main hall since the upper part of the castle was meant for that of the mortal races of the world.
_Through the door she walked and before her were doctors as well as a bed where a man, who did not look older then the age of twenty-and-nine layed. From the looks of it he was of the outland tribes, a race of humans who had darker skin and lived in the burning deserts. It was said if some one made a bad deal or angered them, a curse would befall them to the day they die. It was just a myth but from the looks of Wielgtor Holson, there might have been more to this then what she though. A soft voice came as the Holson opened his eyes looking apon the cursed human Olivia. "Come to me my child, I am afraid this illness has taken my sight and slowly takes my hearing as well." He said in a soft voice.
_ "Y-yes sir." Olivia said as she walked to Holson's side. A chair was already set for her and all. Taking her seat she looked at him and smiled. But she knew it was a bad smile because he did not look happy. "Sorry, I know I must be a bad person to have presented before you sire." She said bowing her head.
_ "No, no. I should be the one saying sorry…I am ill and have not the chance to be a gentlemen and great you at the door." He said trying to smile. But he let out a horrible coughing sound. The doctors started to move to his side but stopped when he waved them back. "No, not when I am about to do this." He said and then looked back at her. "Do you know why we are called the Hollowed?" He asked her with a calm voice.
_ "Because we are different from all those of our same kind." She said with a said voice.
_ "No, it's because we are the ones who have seen the other side of the gates of hell it's self and are not damned for it. But the light rejects use and the dark fears our powers. To spite us we are cursed to look as we do. To look like monsters with no will to press on. But we do." He said as he leaned up and looked at her. "We are not very strong in might. We can not do much and rely on the other races to help us build our homes at times. But, what we lack in the might in our arms we excel at with our magics." Holson turned from her and then turned back with a small black box. "In here is a gift, and a special one that you must ware till my passing. It is nothing special it's self but what it will teach you is far more valuable than words or praising. You may share it with your loved one. But only once, and of that for a short time before it rejects him." He said as he opened the box. Pulling out a small ring that was embedded with gemstones of all kinds and makes but bound in gold with runes in the back of it he said to her. "Hold up your hand." She did as he asked. "With this ring, and these people before me as witness, I name you the next Wielgtor or our people. My you lead them well when I am gone." He said as he moved the box back to where he got it and layed down.
_Stuned Olivia just looked at the ring that was on her finger. As she watched it shrank to her fingers size with just enough room to be slid off. But why her? What made her so special. When she asked he said back. "The chair I sit in, the one your going to be taking. It is made to be completely uncomferible to be sat in. Why this is, is simple. As a ruler you must understand the fact that every action you make and destion is one you will have to be thinking about over and over again. Every one of our kind, the Hollowed, are happy and care free. As few of us there have been that have been truly evil. However, that is not the point. The point here is simple. The rules have never been like that, always happy. They have been angry. Fallen prey to emotions that would have us going down the path of damnation yet did not. And you, yes I have been watching you, have shown these emotions. You have been to hell and back, yet did not fall to the traps that lay just blow. This makes you the new leader. When your time comes you will know who is to take your role in life. But I have been here for over four turns of the stairs (in other words 400 years). If my time was not now who knows when I would pass from this world. And you are still young. I know of your hearts set. But I will not tell you who to chase after." He said as he looked up. "My love was taken from be in the long fight with our long time feud with the dark elves. Taken because I could not save her when we were coming back from the realm of the humans." A tear formed in the mans eye. "But that is not your worry. Go, I wish to rest. I still have a race to lead." He said as he sighed.
_ "Yes sire." She said as she got up and left his room walking with the guard from before who looked at her hand with a bit of distates and yet happiness.
_Taking her to the throne room he presented her to the chair. "Your chair my lady." He said with a bow and hand extended to it.
_Shaking her head no she looked at him. "Please I wish to be taken to Xeon. I need to leave. I-I just have to." She said with a bit of a shaken voice.
_ "Of course." He said as he lead her to the main hall where Xeon was laying streached out and yawning.
_ "Ready to go sweet thing?" One of Xeon's little jokes but he could see something was wrong and then saw the ring on her hand and cut his eyes at her. "We are going home now." Reaching out he took her in hand. They spent the better part of the day flying till he came to a cave he had never shown her. It was massive and huge. "Go." He said as he sat her down, not another word hints.
_Walking into the cave she looked around. It was not cold as she was expecting for a cave this massive. Infact it was warm and welcoming. But yet had a cold and sharp edge, as if the air could just turn on her in a moment. "Hello?" Olivia said, when nothing came back she started to turn and walk back to Xeon.
_ "That ring…he finally passed." A voice said as it came out and from the darkness a large set of claws stopped her and pulled her up into a dragons hand almost double the size of Xeon himself. "You're the new ruler to be." The voice said as the hand stopped moving. A massive blue eye opened and looked at her. It was the same cold glowing color as the hollowed's. "I am the Frost Brood Mother: Cero Savagetongue." She said as she said Olivia down who feel to her hands and butt looking at the massive Dragon who seemed to be made of ice now that her eyes had adjusted for the dark.
_Olivia quickly scrambled to her feet and bowed for knowing she was in the presence of a Brood Mother. And not just that but, a Brood Mother who was a Hollowed. "Hello Ma'am." She said as she bowed.
_Cero sighed, as she did vaper escaped from her maw. "Don't bow to me." She said as she layed her head back down. "I know who you are. And the fact my son always talks about you like you two are mates." She opened one eye and looked at Olivia who still had her head bowed and arms crossed. "I don't mind the fact he picked you. Honestly I could care less. But I am more concerned your replacing the old man, he was my friend and I have reason to be since he knew the location of our home. Eturna might give away her home but not us." She said as she again adjusted her spot on her what seemed to be a bed.
_Holding her arms crossed in front of her. Hand over hand and down same with her head Olivia spoke back in a softer voice. "I have been living with Xeon ever since I moved here ma'am. I have tried to make myself as little of a bother then I already am."
_Cero loved her head over right infront of Olivia's face and for a moment Olivia was scared. More scared then she had ever been in her life as she felt a suddon cold chill down her spine and mind. "If that is the case then you are the mate of my son. I approve of his choice then." She said then pulled her head back and layed down. "But change to something more befitting some one of his standings. Now your free to leave." Cero said as she closed her eyes.
_Slowly backing up till she was out of arms reach Olivia turned and walked to Xeon with a angry look. "Your mother! Why!"
_Xeon said nothing then picked her up and took her to his cave but a short flight away. When they landed he looked at her as he layed on his bed. "She gave an order not a request. I would not let something mother says pass lightly." He said not really knowing what said but more or less giving helpful advice.
_Olivia looked up at Xeon. His scales much like Cero's. The icy blue almost as if a living piece if ice. But his horns where more spiked up and back like most Vanquishers. "But I have never changed my shape before…I don't even know how." Olivia amited with a bit of a sight.
_ "It's simple. Just think think of a shape or form of another and your body will do the rest. Just don't change before your enemys because they can take it to there advantage. Right after a Hollowed transforms they can not use magic and are temporarily weakened. Sort of like getting silenced before your caster at the other end of the room zaps you with what ever." He said with a sigh as he looked down at her.
_ "Alright I get it." Olivia said as she looked over his body. It was nice and well built but she had never seen a female Vanquisher before and thus was confused when she tried and nothing happned. After a second of thinking she knew the problem and thus turned to him. "Where to the Frost Brood Vanquishers stay or hang out when not on their rounds?"
_Looking up at the sky he though to for a moment. "At the hot spring I would guess. It's not too far from here because of Mother Cero's cave." Turning to the east he started walking picking up Olivia with his tail. "Just stay there and be quite. I know that sounds mean but the other Frost Brood Vanquishers are not Hollowed and don't like others out side of there kind and breed there." He said as he went on.
_Within a good couple of minutes Olivia found herself by a hot spring having Xeon curled around her as to protecting her from the males who seemed a little angry. The Females did not mind as much. Most of them went over to Xeon and layed beside him and looked at Olivia. Poking her with their snouts and over all just trying to understand why Xeon brought here there. While he was in a conversation with another male Vanquisher Olivia slipped out of his little protective curl and started talking with the females. Looking at there body style and horn patters. Most of them where not as muscle built but it was very clear they had them. Jaw lines where more curved in almost into a beak shape but still more dragonic like. Horns where almost all the same, angled back and to points. Some had smaller jaw spikes, something she liked.
_As they talked on it was clear that the male and Female Vanquishers never got too close to each other. It was, from what she could tell, the fact they did not mate and hated each other for some reason. But none of them seemed to hate Xeon or show it when he was around because they got along well enough. "So, it's just the four legs and tail I will need to get use to?"
_One of the females who called herself locket poked Olivia again but this time with her tongue and snout. It was off because the feeling was odd and scalely because of small scales and bit of skin at her snout. "Yes, at least that was always the hatchlings problems." She said as she picked up Olivia with one hand looking her over. Since the dragoness did not have a thumb Olivia was simply held in the fingers that made up her toes. It was right then Olivia felt a volt of fear run down her spine as she saw all the females where now looking at her as well as getting closer and seeming like they were about to strike her down. "Here dear, you might want to transform now before they get angrier." She said.
_Taking a deep breath Olivia nodded as she was tossed into the air slightly. She was tossed over the water as to keep her from getting hurt by landing on the rocks beside her. It was a very disturbing thing to see, her skin, muscle, and all tore away from her body and stood around her exposed skeleton. As the skeleton grew and molted into a Vanquisher the skin as well chanced to have scales and expand. When it was done her flesh molded back onto her skeleton showing a Hollowed Frost Brood Vanquisher, that had a mane and thumbs on her forepaws. She retained some of her Cursed Human self in her new body. However she was not just looking like them. She was one of them, when a Hollowed transforms they become what every race they want. Thus all there abilities are now at the Holloweds hands, however this also means every time they want to transform they must give up their bodies and they lose what is called humanity thus making them look more Hollowed. When they are out of the element known as humanity they must summon more or cast one of the darker spells that summons humanity. No other race has a use for this thus making it so special to the Hollowed.
_Apon getting out of the water Olivia shook herself still having her eyes closed. "That was the weirdest thing I ever felt." As she opened her still hollowed blue eyes show froze as every male now was right on top of her smelling and poking her. Much to Xeons dislike. "Um…Back off a little please?" She asked with a scared nitch in her voice.
_With a angry growl and slam of his tail the males backed off and the females crowed her pulling her away from the water to their side of the Spring. As things calmed down the Male Vanquishers turned and gave angry glances at Xeon how almost had a scowl challenging them to challenge him. As for Olivia she looked at her body and found it was quite hard to walk like this and her wings kept drupping down but she was able to hold them in place. Still she was cought off guard as the other Females pushed her into Lockets embrace laying her down and looking at her. "Easy now, they did that because I am the one how hatches the little ones of our breed. And well they see you as a little one." She said as Locket licked Olivia's snout. "So just relax and you can move in a bit."
_Olivia did not fight it by trying to get away but insided just sighed as she looked over her new body. "So, this is what a dragon feels. Odd, I was kina expecting something else."
_ "And what would that be?" Locket asked as she adjusted Olivia alittle so the female could better situate herself.
_Olivia again did not fight the bigger dragoness' moving of Olivia's body but rather obayed and sighed again. "I don't really know. But the feeling of being this big and these." She said as he moved her wings. "It's odd. Also I can see something that you don't have. I have thumbs and this mane still presise. Why?" She said as she reached up and felt her horns that stuck up through her mane that ran down the back of her head, handing over her face a little as well. The hair went down the back of her neck a little then stopped before it reached a little over half way.
_ "You're not truly us but you are. So in one sight your just copying use to the last end. On the other in you are us completely, however the ones of your kind do retain traits that make your kind different. You can do some things we can't. The most clear is the simple fact you can grip things easier. But the down side is it will make walking a little harder to do. Since you have to walk with five fingers not four." She said as she held up her front paw. "See?"
_Olivia held her hand up and saw how different her paw was. "Interesting." Laying down the rest of the way Olivia closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. In her slumber Xeon had walked over and took her away from the spring to his cave where he had layed down and curled up with her smiling and kissing the back of her neck before he himself feel asleep.

_Blood, that's all she saw. Her blade taking the life from another as her hand stole the soldier's soul. Yet she was happy, she was to be born again in the light of the church and yet her mind and body said no. On the grounds of execution she stood up and thrusted her hand forwards her blade her claws. On the outside of her hand a Rune of the Unholy Arts burned with the power she had gained. But then again I am getting to a head of myself again.
_"Hello once again reader. It's me Kronos. I know I have told you all about the many epics of the men and women of the realm of Light and Dark, however I want to state something that will make most of you question me. In their world, other race's are.  Now, know with the one's who call them selfs Humans and the one's who call them selfs the High-Kar under the order of their master and underleader General Kaiyne. There are more. The Elf's who are of Light skin and Dark skin. The Dwarf who leave there halls only somberly and a race of human who hide a curse of wolf like powers. However this tale is of two people. A Human with the Curse and a Elf who bares the powers of the damned. She is called Li'Stera. But the Elves call her one thing. Lich, the Queen of the damned who uses her gifts to take the power from the world of the living and gives them to herself. Everyone who knows her only calls her Lich or Queen of the damned. It became too bad she had to wear armor, which froze with her heart. She died in the war of the brothers serving Dark and his cause. Yet her armor frozen white and frost growing with each soul she extracted power from. She was branted as a Lich when she was stabbed by a Sergeant and did not die. And now out Story starts…"
_"What the hell is she! I stabbed the Bitch in the bloody heart! Quick get the Irons, we will take her to the General herself." As his words were carried out Li'stera could not help but think of her home and who everything came as it was. She had taken souls to make her powers grow. But what just happened because she would not submit to her Sergeant, it was unnatural.
_Dragged away in Irons her armor could not be removed as she had froze her body to protect herself from the men around her. The only thing they could even grab were her ears that were longer and went back behind her head at points about an inch or so. She looked at the man she was fighting with but a moment ago she felt weak and cold. Her body refusing to lesson to what she was wanting it to. "W-what is happ-" That's all she could manage to say as she heard the sound of death creep into her words.
_"Damnation! She is an Undead, and an Elf. What a waste, such a prity young thing too. Take her away maybe Lord Dark will see fit to make her a royal snack." The men laughed as the Sergeant grimed. "Well it's not a total loss," He said as he went to her. Then ripped out the Blade from her chest leaving her Bleeding. "I can still get it cleaned up." He then burst into a laugh.
_Looking back her eye's started to gane a unholy blue glow as she let out a Unnatural roar that only came from those of the dead. Getting up she reach out and pulled the man to her. All the other Soldiers backed away scared as they did not know what to do. The Sergeant looked at her as he froze. Reaching out Le'stera pulled the man to her. "You wanted me. Well pucker up big boy." She said then kissed him. His eye's started to roll in the back of his head and it looked like she was just kissing him when then from his gut came her hand but with clawed gloves instead of just a hand. His soul lost to her. Before she could make her escape however they closed the door. And there in the cold dark room with only the corps of the dead Sergeant and the only light from her eyes and whenever she opened her mouth she sat.
_For six long months, she sat and rot. The corps now just a frozen pile of bones. Her food, what little she got, only made her hunger more. Yet when she died, it was not so. She would close her eye's to pass on and yet she remained on this plane as if someone was pushing her back into her body. Taking off her chest plate she looked over her wound which would have had more then enough time to heal, yet it was all but. She still had a cut in between her breasts. When she did so there was a rousing at the door. And she was much too weak to fight off whoever it was. Leaning on the wall she wondered who would want to disturb the dead.
_Though the open door came the last person she would have expected. He was bound in Black and Steal with a chain and  on the end of the chain that was at least one Hundred yards long was what looked like a Dagger head. And his eye's, hidden behind a Blind fold. And yet he looked right at her as if he knew what she looked like. "How long did you keep her down here?"
_"Since she was stabbed sir." The voice came from a man just out of sight.
_"Food?"
_"Well, the cook did not want to waste any good food on her Brigadier General sir. We have kept her down here with her kill which from the looks of it the Sergeant has not moved so we cannot confirm much." As the man spoke Le'stera looked at the General and hissed at him not angrly but more scared for her life as it was. She felt something in the back of her mind like a power wanting to get out. But when she let it. The skeleton rose Surrounded in a unholy light yet she never took her eyes off the General. When it was all done the Sergeant was back but, his eyes glowed like hers only not as powerful and he spoke not a word. He just got in front of her like a human shield. Seconds later it burst into fire as it's energy went back to Le'stera who now backed away on the wall at the aprocing men. When she was taken everyone looked as if they were cold and she saw their breath.
_Pinned to the wall the General looked angry not at her but at the men. "For shame! Releace her at once, you should never hold a lady as such. Besides if I am right, we are in the presence of not only a lady but a Queen as well. However only Master Dark will know for sure." He got close to her and lifted up his Blind Fold. His eyes were nothing but fires in his head. He looked like just is stare alone could start a blaze, yet, he was scared because of something. "Mis, you'll have to be coming with me." He said as she felt safe around him. Getting up he looked at her wound. "I see we need to get you some more fitting cloths now…However I am afrade we are not as crafted as the Elves are so will you suffice with a human made dress or gown? I mean after all you are a importen person now you should show it. As well." He added the last part as he walked out. "Also, I am Omega." He said as he left her right behind feeling a little exposed as her armor was taken off save for her leggings boots and the knitted Elven shirt she got from him that now was stand red with her blood and a massive open cut.
_Walking into the day however her eyes had to ajust and when everyone looked onto her and her glowing eyes they talked and shund her for she was a monster. Only Omega's protection kept her alive and she knew it. Walking with her head down Omega led her to the Tavern. There she ordered her food but the man refused to give it even as she put the money on the counter. Omega walked up and looked at the Tender who angrly nodded and gave her a plate. "And my you choke on the bones you undead freak." He said as she walked away. She holding something the Elves rarely ate. Meat, yet she had a strong urge to get some.
_In her chair everyone around her shivered save for Omega who was always dressing warm saying it was cold out to everyone. One man drunk off his rocker walked up to her too hammered to care. "Ma'am, shou are the most Prity thing I think I thunk of to the moment." With a sigh she turned around and looked at him. When she did he sobered up almost at once as she looked him dead in the eye.
_Turning back to her food Le'stera ate. "My name, it's Le'stera. At least that's what it is in Elven how ever in human you may call me Rorana. I have to ask, why did you think I am of a Queen when my Queen is who she is and her King is stated as such?"
_Omega laughed as a hardy man. "A Queen you are Rorana, however it's not of the living. You're the Queen of the damned and now everyone knows it." He smiled more as he drank some kind of tea.
_"But, how? And besides I am a Elf, I can't be a-a…" It came to her, like a realization but worse. She had become what was seen as the evil leader of their religion. "I am a Lich!" She said out loud scared as her voice carried and made people stop and look at her.
_"See, now is when I wish you did not say that for there are people here who are for Light and Spys. Now we have to fight them…" Omega grabbed her and bolted out side still drinking not spilling a drop. Putting her down he went and got a chair. "Go on then, this is your battle not mine. Show them what the new Lich can do." Omega drank from his cup happy watching.
_Rorana looked back scared and unknowing of what to do, but then she felt something under the ground as if calling to her. Reaching down she saw something metal poke out. Taking hold she pulled up a rune blade that had a skull on it and a fine honed edge. In her hand it glowed like snow and ice. And now she felt simi-safer. As the men got closer Rorana looked back at Omega who was drinking from his cup, his eyes trained on her as he did so. Taking a deep breath she looked back and got ready holding the sword at her side she looked forword and waited till she was surrounded.
_A spy got behind her and as fast as he could pulled out a dagger and preformed a flash backstab. Leaving the blade in, he turned to Omega with a sly grin, "Is that the Best you got?" He said with a smug voice. The other men looked at Omega who did not even looked at them or show any sign of stopping his drink. When he did not get up they looked back as they saw the elf had not fallen over she just stood there huched over with the dagger sticking from her back.
_Reaching back with her hand Rorana pulled the Dagger out of her back then looked over her shoulder at the group as a smile, almost as evil as light himself appeared on her face. Omega lifted an eye brow as she watched. She took her weapon and moved with a speed almost paranormal, as if she were no more than a ghost to the world, and implanted her weapon in the back of the first spy. Within moments she pulled the sword out and saw it was taking the life of the human it killed. She then put the sword on her should and felt it get taken and sort of floated just off her back and followed her in that spot. Taking one more step she dropped to one knee and on instance felt something leave her hands and runes appeared under two of their feet. Within moments a black unholy energy shot from their eyes as they turned into ghouls and started to attack the other men who were not ready and attacked. Only the spy who stabbed her in the back survived but she looked at him holding up her fist that glowed red for a moment as the Ghouls exploded and their energy transfused to her. He looked at her scared, "What sort of monster are you! That demon of darkness made you!" He yelled as he scrambed to his feet trying to get away. But to late was he she had already held up her hand and was about to give the final blow, her hand frozen over and Ice chips about to fall off when Rorana hesitated and dropped her hand.
_"I see, you have the power but still believe in give people chance. For this I amend you, however these men we have been tracking down." Just as he got done talking a chain seemed to fly at the back of the man who was not fifty or so yards away. Like a homing dart the knife on the end found it's mark and when though the man like it hand a mind of its own. Pulling back on the chain Omega set his glass down and let it wrap around him. "Well, I say you're not too bad in a fight, maybe not as learned as the last Lich King but more or less as powerful. Now we must leave. Sir. Dark will wish to meet you and get you in the right armor and or cloths that you wish and need." With that Omega pulled out three coins set them in the glass and watched as the waiter took the glass back to the in.

_With the last three days behind them Rorana and Omega made it to the capital city of the northern Empire. The Keep it's self like a fortress that held a monster waiting to attack. Inside the gate for guards got around Rorana to keep her safe from those warlocks and Necromancers that would want her power as Omega explained. Walking to a room that was labed as, 'The High-Ladies' Sleeping and Office quarters.' The guards stayed outside a little bit of their nerves failing them as they waited.
_Walking in was like stepping into the mind of a tactician who was years ahead of her time. Charts everywhere, battle plans drawn and rosters of men lost in battle versus the men killed on the other side. Everything screamed that a general was about. From the back a door opened to what looked like a bedroom but closed too fast when a woman in full armor and face mask walked in and sat down. "So, Rorana. Private in the army of the western defenders. Consort to the Elven Royalty and now. Lich Queen of the North, a fitting title. I took the liberty of sending a message via the link the Elves gave us. Now I will not be kind here they said a lot and I am surprised they were not nicer. It seems you are now labeled as sort of a outcast by them, and your family has disowned you. But after some talking, they still accept you under one condition. That you give your power to Dark's cause. However I told them you have and now leave the choice to you. We do not dare command the dead. That's now your job not ours. So when you are presented to the Emperor, how will you act? I cannot say but first thing is first we have to get you out of those blood soaked rags." Getting up she walked Rorana into the bedroom and sat her down. The moment she did servants walked in and pulled off the tattered cloths Rorana had on because they were already cut up and ratty. Feeling exposed Rorana covered her self even though she had on underclothing. Looking at the woman all she could see was the mask and nothing more. "Give her a fitting dress. Something that states her race yet also her status."
_At her word the servants bowed and the General left her. Within moments she walked out in a dark gown with glowing blue high-lights that made their glow just because they were on her. On her head was a crown that she did not want but had no choice but to put on. They then took her out to the main hall she felt so odd. It was as if she was cold and yet no one else felt it. She looked at the ground and saw two glowing red eyes looking back at her. "You know, if you look into the abyss. They say it looks back into you." At that the soldiers went to one knee and even Omega who was at the door saluted in the direction the throne. "Well go on, after all you are a leader now. Even if it's of the damned." Slowly Rorana sat in the chair that was open to her. The chair hiss for a moment then stopped. "So you are indeed the next Lich of this world." From behind her a form appeared, it was that of a black Dragon with its body curled around the throne and head pointed at her. "Welcome to your domain Lich, Rorana." It said looking at her. "I am Dark. And as much as I hate it I am the leader of the northern Empire. That makes me Emperor Dark. And by now you probly can feel my soul as it is to massive to take and or use so your intimidated to the point you don't know what to do. So let me help you out. One: Do not take the souls of the men under Lady Xudeath's rule. Two: You are free to go about as you would. Anything else will be answered over time." His words calm and yet strangely twisted as if they were coming from some far off place. "You have been giving the life of unlife. And your people will rally at but the notion of your grate and terrible power." Looking up at the one skylight the moon was visible. "I am afrade I must go Rorana. However you must go as well now. To your kind, to your people, who rest in the western end of the Empire. Go now to them and show those who call themselves your king's men who you are Lich, Rorana." Just as the Dragon came it left and Rorana was alone safe for her thoughts.

_It had been two days. Two long, hard, days since she talked to Dark. And two days since she last saw anything that resembled the human way of life. She walked alone on foot, in armor that clung to her skin as if it was a part of her. The whole time she walked she kept her eye forword. Yet she was blind to see what was right behind her. Struck from behind across the neck her vision flared for a moment as she then groaned and rolled on her back. Looking up she did not see any humans, but two Eleven sentries. Two had in their hands the weapons that bared the royal crest of the Guard. "Rorana, daughter of Ia'sara. You are hereby under arrest for dabbling in the Arts of Necromancy and being one of the living dead."
_As the Male spoke another grabbed her and carefully bound her showing grace and honor as he did. Down low he spoke to her as the other sentry went to do something just out of ear shot. "Rorana, I am sorry we had to meet like this. You do not need my name but I can tell you this. Your father, the captain of the guard. He wishes to see you before something bad happens. This was the only way he could do it. The Queen wish's you dead, or to salute your power to her and only her. On your fathers request we are taking you to the Royal city." He could not say more as the other man came back.
_"Get the prisoner ready. The Captain will be waiting for us to arrive within the hour." He said looking at Rorana. "And get the Ice Queen here ready to go. Or on her feet I am not carrying her all the way there." Walking beside him the one who bound her helped her up showing more respect as he lead her to a waiting prison. Yet she felt something was wrong, as if something else was here and yet she could not tell.

_In the Royal city, the last place she thought she would ever see again. Walking down the many way her face hidden under her helm as she walked not with shame but with honor as she knew she could not be harmed by anyone.
_The Elf's  gathered around from all over to see this abomination that was one of their own. None of them seemed angry or disappointed. No they seemed scared because what was before them was what they believed to be evil and a plague. Pushing them from her mind she walked on to the main building that stood out. Not of wood but of stone and rock. It was built by the Dwarves as a memento to pact they had.
_Walking to the final step of the castle entrance she saw the one person she did not want to see. The Queen. Taking a knee Rorana looked down at the ground. "Rorana, Lich of the Dark age. You were a disciple of the dark arts of our arcane would. We did not fight it because we knew it was needed. And now as we look to the future I ask you now, here before your people whom you owe more then your first life for not killing you. Swear yourself to me and help us take down that which is not meant to be."
_There was a long unwanted silence. She keep looking down her bindings not hurting but she felt a presence from within her shadow. Looking down she saw it was Dark who was hiding within it waiting for her to stand or let him out by the way the two red eyes stared into hers. Getting up she looked back at the people then took a deep breath. "My people," She said her voice sounding evil in every since, "I am here before you as I am. Dead and remained to walk till the end of my days. However, I will remain loyal to the cause that has been our calling. To fight off light." She then turned to the Queen looking at her. "And to you, I give you nothing of my power. I give you no right to command me."
_The Queen's expression turned to outrage and anger. "So be it, let the records show that here and now the Lich Rorana died because she failed to keep the dead under control. Take her now to the grounds to be hung." That was all she had to say. That is how she was there now at the hanging grounds. Waiting to be hung, but something did not sit with her and, and she burst out in raged her shadow fighting with her as she took down guard after guard, not killing them but knocking them out.
_The Mage's got evolved and soon found themselves on the wrong end as Rorana's hand ganged claws and she started braking Guards armor. Turning and looking at the Queen she pointed and from under her helm every one could see, the true rage of a Lich as ice started to overtake everything.
_"That is enough." Just as that voice rang out a rift opened and DST's (Dimsional Shock Troopers) rushed out swords drawn and ready for battle. Even their leader XIII stepped out and roared. The Noctigator's rage was building as he swipped down not to kill bit to disarm. He never let his energy beam, the Nox explode forth. But in the commotion from shadow to shadow a voice rang out. "This place is in fested. This place is breading Formless." The Shadow's then converged on the Queen as she rose into the air. When the shadows formed there in front of the Elf's for the first time. Was the Black Dragon, Dark. He held the queen and looked her in the eye. But his eye's glowed with a Golden hue. "You have made a deal with a devil and now, now you kill a Lich because of it. Has Light really grown this scared of one person?" He then took the Queen into the shadows and from then only the sound of fighting was heard. The DST's did the best they could to get the people out of the area and even Rorana tried but they spend the most of their time fighting off the one's under the influence of the Formless.
_In a might of rage the Formless came together and formed a spectral dog who was over shadowing the mages as a whole. The Mage's took down ten DST's who fell over dead, never to rise again. Rorana looked at the bodies and then in a moment of pure rage held her hand out and brought them back to life as her servents but with powers of the dead. They charged unable to feel the pain even after they lost half their bodies and lims. They marched on and soon they took down the Mage's forcing the Soul Hunter to meifest its self. But the DST's she had called back were dead again. Their bodies taken and destroyed by the magic's that were use to twist them. Roaring at them she jumped and attacked at the Soul Hunter. But when she got close, she felt something that no one else did. She felt all the soul's trapped inside the thing.
_Jumping back knowing her attack failed she looked around to see if anyone was around. XIII was but the DST's where away securing the area of the Keep. "Look," She yelled at XIII, "I need you to hold that thin down anyway you can!" XIII must have understood because at once it walked to the soul Hunter and reached for it. His slow motions either a ploy or hokes because the Soul Hunter moved away and pressed to jump up the Noctigator's arm and then preceded to bite at what looked like a cloak over its body. Giving it no time to react XIII grabbed the thing then slamed it to the ground holding it there.
_Walking to it Rorana reached out and started to take its energy via all the trapped souls inside it. Her body then healing as she had broken her bindings getting free to attack. Looking back over her shoulder her hair flung over and she smiled with a grim grin.

_"Now you see. At this point the world would have felt many great powers. It's me Kronos again. Now I am not going to tell you how this ended. But I will tell you this. That day the true Lich was born and from the ash made by the death of the Soul Hunter were born the ones that would be later called the Undead army. You see they were not dead they were given a name called the Light Hunters or Lit'Ograns. And Rorana became the first Lighthorn. As time went on she stayed as the leader until a man took her down called Gannon. His name tarnished the name Lighthorn and he was banished to a realm known only as the wastes of the doomed. Now before I go. I will say this Rorana's story is not over. Heavens no, she has interwoven her line with all who took up the title as Lighthorn. But for now, I will leave you with this."

_"It was once believed the world could live together, but what could not be seen was the simple dagger that was used to stab the back of his friend." –Kronos, the Chronokeeper.

_Old in times as we sit in our homes and with our lot, we forget about the troubles of the outside world and see to what we want. Only the happiness of the holidays keep us warm and our families in our Christmas lot. In this the wholesome time of year we see it is hard to see the darkest part of the human soul. But some of us show it more than the rest and even go so far as to make the holiday something of an un-festive time to send out our ken and lock the door to the pour. But in a Tail like the one you will hear tonight I would think it would call for a little cheer as we go through the events of our story and show you the meaning of the holiday that we all hold so dear.
_This tail that I speak is about one man and his way of rushing in the New Year. Williams Grant as is name was prescribed in the text of all men alike. This scrooge of scrooges, this demon of men celebrated Christmas the same every year, in an office with no contact with the side world. His friends gone and some passed on to the next world. To him it was nothing more than a freedom for now he could run the place hook line and sinker with not one to get in his way as he drove and drove the company to the breaking point.
_The workers all thought, why would a man be so cold even on this the most hallowed of seasons. Maybe he was born that way, maybe he was grief stricken, whatever the reason or whatever the guilt all they knew was to stay out of his way and make everything run smooth or they would be facing the light of rest of the world without a job. But maybe I have give you too much to ponder, shall we start the story and see where all the troubles began.
_In the mists of a cold night the office floor cold and dark one man still toils away as his computer. Trying to finish up his days work, when from the back a door opens and in walks a man about six foot seven. The only thing that went through the poor man's mind was the thought of getting fired and having to face the harsh world of the outside. "Mr. Grant, sir I am just, um, finishing up the papers on the-" that is all the man could say be for Mr. Grant turned his hand and silenced the man.
_"I don't pay over time, you know this."
_"I am sorry sir," The man said as he hurried to finish, "I am almost done, just one more file to do."
_"Keep your excuses for some other time. I don't want to hear them. I have not the time to waste on someone as low as you, so finish up and get out of here before I decide to fire you too." Mr. Grant said as he went in his office and locked the door. The man he was talking to called only Wall as he was the only one that could stand to be around the old scrooge. It was not easy to listen to the old man preach when he started to get in a rant. But Wall was always able to stand the taunts and threats that came out of his boss's mouth. Most thought him a fool to try and get something down. But the only fool to him was the people for not thinking on can change, even in the most lost of cases. And Mr. Grant was just such a man, lost more than any man could be.
_Taking a breath Wall went to his boss's door and knocked. "Mr. Grant, I have a question to ask." Standing on his legs scared that he will get scolded for disturbing his boss's peace.
_The sound was silent for a long time as no reply came back, but the door opened and in a mood most unhappy the boss stood with his eyes trained on the one that disturbed his rest. "What do you want boy," The man asked, "This is my time of rest and peace. But no I have to deal with the likes of you. And it's after hours too, god what must I suffer to be through with you for the night." Mr. Grant left his gaze on the ill struck man.
_"I-I was going to let you know I am done," Wall's teeth and knees chattering faster than his heart was beating, "And I wanted to ask you a question. I-if it is not too much trouble. Could I have the day off tomorrow?" Wall stood as he watched the man's face before him change to one of mad then a smile.
_Braking out in a laugh, as this was more of a joke then a question to him. But when he looked at Wall's face he stopped and then picked up his normal demeanor. "You are serious? Why should I give you the day off? What makes you special from the rest of us in the world? No you will be here in the morning, before me even! If not you will be fired and what a way to go would it not."
_Looking at his boss with disbelief at what just happened, what was just said. "But sir, its Christmas tomorrow, and my family will want me there for it's the only time of the year we can come together and be a family."
_Turning back to his chair Mr. Grant stopped and shook his head. "Christmas, a day of nothing more than chaos and disarray only to have kids screaming and the noise that follows is nothing more than a joke. No you will be hear early and working before I walk in. Do I make myself clear?"
_Hanging his head Wall sighed as he started to close the door. But looked up and then said in a moment of unstated mentality said, "Have a heart sir. My family would want me to be there."
_Gritting his teeth and then looking out the window on the dark city that seemed to want to look away from him. "Half a day, then you can go. But I expect a full day of work in only half a day of you being here."
_Happy that he got even this much of a brake Wall smiled as he said, "Thank you sir. I think for this opportunity you have given me. I will be in and have the work done for you to in no time sir you have my word!"
_William looked over his shoulder at Wall who was smiling like a drunken fool just getting out of a bar. "Well go on you have to be here early. So get out of my office and be here before me. Otherwise you can kiss this job good bye." Giving an unhappy frown as he watched as Wall dash back to his space pick up his papers and jacket then dash out the door. "Fool, who needs family, or friends when I have this much power. To hell with this thing called Christmas. It's unneeded any day for people to try and get money out of me. Who needs them and their grubby little fingers. I am better than them." Walking to his chair William sat down and watched the city die into darkness as the hours slipped by. It seemed as if the whole place died as did his heart had many years ago. "Idiots, what could they have that makes them better than any other piece of trash that wanders the streets. At least the ones in homes are trying to make a living."
_For the next hour William dazed in and out of sleep and at one point he passed out completely. But was woken by the sound of a chain followed, by a heavy object being dragged across the ground. Still somewhat asleep William sat up and opened the drawer of his desk and pulled out his pistol. "Who is there?"
_A moan, ghastly and unfriendly moan cried out from the door of his office. "I am warning you! I have a gun and I am not afraid to use it!" Yet the sounds kept on and got louder and louder. William started to quiver, but just as the sounds came, they stopped and the room was dead quite yet again. "Who is there, this is the last time I will ask!" He pushed the button under his desk to call the buildings security to his office.
_A ghastly voice like one from the grave spoke out. "Come a long now William, we both know that is not going to work." Looking to the chair by the fire place in his office he saw his oldest friend, Jack Harris. His body covered in chains and parts of his skin missing; only bones were showing. His body translucent, giving off a green glow and mist.
_"Jack, is that…you?"
_"Ding, you win the door prize kid. Hehe, it seems you have been doing well for yourself here." Jack picked up glass and filled it with the wine that was on the stand. "What has become of the small town man that I knew before we grew into this corporation?"
_"This can't be real, you died years ago. I saw your body, shot in the head by a lone gunman. How can you be here today?" William said as he put the gun back in its hole. He himself still was shaking as if he was in the cold.
_"It's been a really long time. And this is not dream. I know I died, and by the hands of a mad man from the lower part of town. But that is not why I am here, you see I am what you have forward to look to when you die William. I have played the same hand you have now and look at me. I rot in the darkest pits of hell as you get to sit up here and be comfortable.  I felt it my job to come up here and warn you to change you ways. Change them or end up like me, another soul lost in a pit of eternal agony." Jack turned the glass of wine around but kept his eyes bent on William.
_Taking in term of his fallen friend William laughed as he got hold of himself. "You expect me to believe that I am looking at a Specter of my old friend, and that he is here to warn me about something that 'will' happen to me in the near further? This hast to be a joke" William walloped in his moment as he saw the fire go out, then he stopped laughing and the fear cough him again.
_"William Grant, I tried to say it nicely now I must use forceful words. Tonight you will be visited by the ghosts of Past, Present, and Further. And by nights out let's hope they can do that witch I cannot. Change that man I see before me and give him a second chance to be a better man then I could be. Now go, and away the call of the first to hear the mortal sounds of the last!" Jack drank the wine as it spilled on his bones then stained the chair underneath. Then the ghost floated up and toward the door. "And one more thing William. Don't let it kill you." The ghost chacled as it vanished from the world. The fire came back and the office started to warm up.
_Taking a moment to pull himself back together after what just happened, William went over and looked at the chair in which the specter had been sitting. And sure enough there was the stain from the wine as he saw. "I must be going out of my mind, something is wrong here. I can't be seeing ghost. Must have too much to drink is all, or I am still sleeping. Either way things will thaw out soon enough." Walking back to his desk William pulled out his remote and turned on the TV in the corner of the room.
A report about a snow storm was rolling in and it seemed to be a big one. The reported was standing in the middle of the path projected by the weather serves and was still talking. "It looks like it's going to be a harsh one this year folks I would say stay home and be with your family as this I going to be a chiller white out indeed. Only a work crazed boss would have his employ come into work when this thing hits. By late in the afternoon thou the conditions would be perfect to go out and Carle for the people in down. But you won't even leave your room will you Grant?"
_"No, not a chance…" William looked at the TV then tried to shut it off but could not. It seemed as of the remote would not work at all. Then the man on the TV disappeared and reappeared in front of that old scrooge. "Let me guess, a ghost of the Christmas sprite?"
_The man smiled as he held on his coat. "Well I see I have a smart one on my hands this day. Tell me William do you remember your past?"
_"Yes, it was a fine way to where I am now."
_The specter sighed as it took him by the arm. "Come along we have some work to do here. And little time to do it in too." William started to float up as the room changed and colors when every which way. "Now let us see into your past shall we."
_When everything stopped William found himself in a small home with a man woman and child. The kid was watching TV and the father in the lazy chair. The Mother making dinner in the kitchen, it was almost done by the smell of things. "Welcome back dear." The woman said as she walked to William.
_"Miss I am not who yo-." Just as he spoke a man walked through him as he saw it was Jack his old partner in life. But he was younger and seemed more into the smaller things. "Spirit can this be, the time I took Jack from his home?"
_Walking to the dinner room the ghost sat and looked over his shoulder. "We are back in a time when you thought everything was fair. You remember don't you, it was the night before Christmas and now you walk in…now"
From through the front door a younger William with less of a beard and in a festive mood walking smiling and holding gifts for the ones he saw. "I am here, did I miss anything good?"
_"Not at all William, in fact you just in time for dinner. Are you going to say?"
_The younger William waved his hand with a smile. "Na, I have to get home to see my own mom and father. They have waited long time and I think it's time I went home for the holidays. So here I got you some presents and happy tidings as I make my way to the air port." The young William handed off the gifts to Jack as he did he said something low so only they could hear. "Jack, when I get back I have a way to get us higher up in the world."
_Jack returned his call with a low whisper. "Sounds good, but for now let's go and see out families. Plus you have a family of your own to see as well."
_"Ya the Grant family is growing and I must say the crop is getting better and better." The young William spoke up and then said to all. "Will I must be going now. I will see you all soon."
_The ghost spoke out. "But you did not, after you got home you took Jack and the two of you went off and became rich. But that's not the point here."
_William looked at the ghost and said. "Specter why do you show me relics of the past. I already know this."
_The ghost sighed again and then walked over to William and grabbed his shoulder again. "I am here to show you what you have done, so you can still change what can be. Now let's take a trip to your parent's house after this visit." The room changed again and there he was at his parents' home. "And don't worry they cannot hear us, see us, or even feel us. We are just as flies on the wall, merely watching the events as they take place. Now pay attention."
_Looking at the set out of the room it was still Christmas Eve and the family that lived here must have been up to something. But when young William walked in he called out many times and no response. Looking around he went to the back and found his parents bodies. Both of which had been laid open on the bed. As he swelled in the moment, it was apparent that something had changed in the man. Looking back at the bodies he did not see his parents, just two people unlucky enough to be cough by a armed mad man. When the police arrive they did an inspection and found nothing out of place they turned to young William and told him to go home and enjoy the rest of the holiday. "This was not help full. It only shows me why I hate this holiday the most. And if I could find that person I would have taking him for the same thing he took my parents."
_"It's like trying to fill a already full glass with you…Ok I think I cannot show you anything that you need to see, so let's take you home then. I fear that the past will find you but you are not willing to let it in William. Just think about that will you." The Spirit grabbed his shoulder and everything span faster and faster. Colors and orbs all mashed together then the next thing he knew he was in his chair sweating mad from the dream he just had.
_"Am I going mad? Have I gone insane?...no I am ok. I just need something to drink." Getting up and walking to the break room he found the coffee pot had been left and with half a pot too. Taking his cup out amd pouring in the warm drink he stopped as he looked over his shoulder and saw what looked like a Woman in festive gown. "O god, tell me you are not the Spirit of Present."
_A angles laugh escaped the woman as she gave a giggle. "Yes I am, aren't you a sight. I thought I might need to take it easy and yet you are already in a fright." The woman walked closer as she stud next to William. Her robe giving on a soft green color. "Well we need to be off. I don't like keeping him waiting."
_"Specter I ask you please have mercy on me. I am but lost in this den of hallows eve." William said as he pleaded to her to let him go. His face broke as he almost went to his knees. "I bag you to leave me in peace. I cannot stand the sights I have seen."
_"Pull yourself together. And let's be off, you look like a fool on the ground welling like you are." The Spirit reach down and grabbed Williams hand and made him hold her robe. The two seemed to sink through the ground as if they were made of nothing at all. When they had gotten through the ground fully William saw his ex-wife. Lilly and their son, Sherman, they were in a living room watching a Christmas Special. "Well you know the rules, they cannot see us, hear us, or feel us. We are merely watching the world as it is happing right now, in the present."
_"Mom, is Dad ever going to come back?" The kid asked as if he was going to get a positive response.
_The woman looked at him and with a sad expression said, "No, he sold his soul to the company. We may never see him again. I am sorry."
_William looked at the room. It was bare as if there was no such thing as Christmas at all. "Truly they did not give up on the one thing I hate?"
_The ghost looked at the room not braking her gaze. "With you gone the son gave up. He quit everything you set up for him. In his school he is the lowest of the low and she is close to unemployment. All because she cared about you and hopped that you would come back. But you never came, and yet she waits. Come we have two more stops to make." William walked back to the Spirit a somewhat broken man.
_Taking her robe the two sank in the ground again. This time they appear as Wall's home in the north end of town. The house was old and looked a wreck. Inside the view as not much better as they found it dishevel. "My god how can one live like this and yet still be able to work at a place he does. It's sickening."
_Shaking her head the Spirit pointed to Wall and said, "Go, my words are of no use here. But the sighs are worth thousands. Now go and see the seeds you have sown into this world."
_Looking at the home William walked up the steps and went to knock on the door. But instead ended up going right through it. Looking around he saw that the house was cold and hollow. Just as the outside was. Voices around a table came calling out as it seemed to emit like the sorrows. "Dear, come here. We need to talk."
_"I know, but Mr. Grant wants me in to work first think in the morning."
_"It's not about that, it's Tom. How are we going to tell him we could not get him anything for Christmas? He looks forward to this day every year. And he will be saddened if we cannot provide for him." The woman looked down as she closed her eyes.
_"Have faith. I know something will turn up. Just trust me…" Walls voice was so low it was almost as if he himself had given up on the very words he preached.
_William looked out a window and saw the Spirit looking back at him. On her face a smile was born as she saw the concern on William's face for the first time. "Specter I have seen what you have shown me, and I am not proud of the things I have done. Please let me be, may I return to my office. I will spread the word of this of things I have seen today."
_The look on her face changed as she walked through the wall and glass. The world seemed to change as she got closer. The room got darker and the fire got brighter. Even Wall and is family disappeared. "No, you must not speak of the events you have seem for they are what you see every day." She lifted her rode and two small children were there. One looked skinny and about to die of rickets. The other disfigured. "Look apon then now William Grant, they are the ones you cause every day with your frozen heart. You know of them and yet never speak of them. Like a Virus they live off us and we can never help. They are not evil they are the sins of man that have grown and been left. But they can only be helped by the good will of people. So take what you know tonight and share your wealth. Do not let them take more people down the road that has led only to one that is not blest." She closed her robe and William was modified at the sight of the children.
_"What should I do then Specter, how can I change that what is?" William asked.
_The Spirit smiled again, "That is not something you ask. You will know that to do when the time comes. And when it does, only then will you know what the Further holds." The Spirit disappeared and William found himself in the brake room yet again.
_Looking around he could not believe what was going on. "Ok got to pull myself together, I am falling part." Shaking his head William walked back to his office. Along the way he heard the sound of breathing and foot steps behind him. But the only thing he saw was darkness. Once he was inside his office he looked at the clock. It was just past one AM. "I think it's time I went home…" Picking up his stuff and finishing off his coffee William started for the door. Just as he opened it a clocked person stud with a scythe and hood covered face. Dropping down to his knees he knew what this was. "Truly Specter, of all the ghosts I have seen to night you are the one that has stricken me the most. I plead, no I bag please don't take me now."
_The hooded man said nothing as he lifted up his hand. The sound of bones moving and the sight made William turn pale as a ghost himself. Lighting crack outside and for a second William could see the face of the Specter before him. It was none to mistake. Death himself had taken the time to come and see to this lost soul.
_William stayed on his knees in a mortal fright as he could feel the world grow cold around his body. "I-i-is it your turn to show me…the world that will be?"
_The clocked Spirit reached put and pointed behind him. Looking back William saw a church on a hill. The weather was cold and dark. Lack of life was there as a group of three came away. It was Lilly with his son, and Wall. Each Dressed in pitch black. None of them with any emotion on their face. His son a older man and Wall looking in bitter disbelief. Looking at the church William saw the Spirit by the door with his arm raised pointing inside. Walking to him William could hear the calls of the grave trying to be heard. With fear running through his vanes William made his way to the church. Once inside he saw a casket, mortified he turned and saw Death was right behind him like a shadow overlooking his body.
_"Tell me, is this the outcome of my life! Is the event what will be or that can be? Can I still change everything? Please I ask you, why is it you will not respond." With each word the Specter stepped William closer and closer to the Casket. When he right next to it the boney hand reached down and started to open it. "No, I have seen enough! Please send me back, I will change I will! I will be less greedy and more kind please no!" William said as he started to cry tears of fear. But the Specter opened the Casket and inside was the dead body of William Grant. Looking back William found that he was now in the Casket and Death was closing the door. Screaming as loud as he could William pleaded. "NO! Not like this. I will change I will change! Just give me a chance!"
_Opening his eyes William found himself in his car. He had been there for some time. Wall walked to him and asked if he was ok. His heart still pounding he decided to make things right. He told Wall to go home and be ready for a visit, he was going to be giving him a special gift. With his new mind set and the feel of the cheer. Mr. Grant went about making things right. He even went to his Ex-wifes house and told her to be ready and to have her and his son ready.
_Next he went to Walls house and cough him just as he had gone and told him. It was close to five in the afternoon and both families found themselves around a table of food. Fill the the brim and the kids with their new toys. It was a joyes moment.
_On the other side of the window the Spirits watch as they smiled. They had done their job. Past said, "Do you think he got the point?"
_William was laughing and making marry the whole event. "Yes I think he did."
_And thus this go to show, when you think many thing there is always one thing to know. When Christmas is here you should be marry and have good will to all. Even if they are not your brothers.
-Marry Christmas, to everyone. Let you be young or old.
